As part of this project, participants were asked to make animations on the question, ‘What engages me best?’

This is the first time animations have been used as real visual research records of how children, both autistic and neurotypical, feel about engagement.  We found that children wanted to explore a range of subjects such as fishing, the desert, gaming or just how to manipulate clay on screen.
